The mission of the New Jersey Museum of Boating, Inc. (NJMB) is to celebrate our State's rich boating history - preserving, presenting and interpreting boats, marine equipment and materials built and used in New Jersey. NJMB is the only museum in New Jersey dedicated to presenting the history of boats and boating throughout the entire State - Delaware River, Delaware Bay, the Atlantic coast up to Bayonne.

The Museum is located on the NJ Coastal Heritage Trail in Point Pleasant's Johnson Brothers Boat Works, once one of New Jersey's premier boat-building facilities and now a first-class boatyard and marina with full amenities. Though modest in size, the NJMB collection includes vintage print advertisements; cross-sectional hull drawings; photographs, scale models and samples of classic and famed New Jersey-built boats; and exhibits celebrating the role of boats and boating in New Jersey commerce, defense and recreation since the days of the Lenni Lenape.

Programs include a “Meet the Author” series featuring booksignings by maritime authors; maritime art/photo shows; an Antique and Classic Boat Show every September; participation in Duckboat Worlds; Barnegat Bay Eco-Cruises; sponsorship of a boat for youth sailing classes. An annual “Spring Fling” and “Holiday Party” are held for NJMB Members and guests.
